RAIN!

Hey Peeps and Pups!!

Up until yesterday it had been pouring for like 5 days straight, maybe more, I lost count. It was no fun! I didn't get to go for my long walks everyday, but there was point where the rain just didn't stop at all and my Mommy didn't care and we walked in the rain anyway. CRAZY.

The rain was so bad that there was small landslide behind our apartment and another HUGE one south of us that wrecked the main, national water pipes. So we didn't have water for like 2 days. My Mommy was not happy. She kept saying something like "if i wanted to go camping i would, but even we had water while campin". I don't know what camping is, but it had water. All in all it wasn't fun.

BUT, I got to wear the rain coat my Mommy had bought me before we left for Grenada. I'm so long and not of average golden retriever size that she had to order one from a Greyhound web site. hehe. I like being me! So isn't it cool?? I look great in green! Oh yeah, and I always jump on my Mommy's bed when I wet, see? hehehe.

Well peeps and pups I will be back home in NJ in 4 days. I think I am going to miss Grenada. After all what dog gets to live here and be with their Mommy??? I'll miss my Mommy too, but she ALWAYS comes back! So I think my Nanny will continue my blog for you all to read, but then Madison (moo-moo), Luke, and of course Lexy (roo) will be involved. That's ok though, they're cool and they have some pretty cool adventures too! :O)

Well I have to get ready to go for my walk since it is sunny today! YAY! I might post one more blog in Grenada before I leave, but if not the adventure continues on at the Jersey Shore!

Exploring Grenada

Hi Peeps & Pups!

A couple weekends ago I got to explore some of Grenada during a day trip. I went with my Mommy, 2 other vet students, and a pothound named Tobra. It was AWESOME!

We first rented an SUV.....let's just say you need to ask for one that has good power (me and my mommmy had to get out the car several times just so it could make it up hills). Then we headed to the first set of waterfalls. Annadele Waterfalls to be exact. It was cool, but not too much fun. The people there did not like dogs so I was not allowed in the water. BUT my mommy pretended she didn't understand what they were saying to her and she dunked me in for like 10 seconds anyway! We also saw a monkey too!! The picture below is of Annadele, Tobra, ME!, and the monkey.

Next we drove to Concord Waterfalls, which definitely was a lot of FUN. They liked dogs there and didn't care if I played in the water. It was awesome! Below is a picture of Concord & ME!

After that we spent the rest of the day driving around Grenada!

Well that is all to report. Not much else going on. It is very hot and humid here. I'll be happy to go back home to where it is cool or cold. See you around! Have a happy halloween (the Grenadians don't celebrate halloween so I guess I won't be either.....no pumpkins here). Oh well.

Midterms are over!!

Morning Peeps & Pups!

It's been another long while, but I get to use the pink laptop again! I survived midterms and so did my Mommy. My Mommy rocked her midterms too and I am proud of her. Even can more proud of myself for being so quiet while my Mommy studied for them. Buuuut as you can see from the picture above - a whole lot peanut butter and busy bones kept me busy! I LOOOOOOOVE peanut butter!! It was so cool when my Mommy handed me the jar. I couldn't believe it! It didn't have a lot in there, but it was just enough to keep me busy forever. :O)

My Mommy still says she is going to take me to the waterfalls tomorrow. She's having trouble finding a ride there though. No tour guide or taxi wants to bring along a dog. I don't understand why these Grenadians don't like dogs, or even me. So we'll see how we get there! It should be fun!! I like exploring. There's probably a bunch more lizards to chase! YES!

I was supposed to go get socialized this morning with dogs who won't try to eat me or my Mommy, but I told my Mommy I was too tired & hot from our walk so we're not going. Plus my Mommy has to review some class work since she is not going to be able to tomorrow. Maybe next weekend I can go and be social. hehe.

There's really not much else to say.....

Hopefully I'll get to the waterfalls tomorrow and then I'll have some cool pictures for you all!

Fun in Grenada

Hi Pups & Peeps!

See me, all fresh and clean? And on my Mommy's bed? hehe. She gave me a bath and the first thing I did was grab my toy puppy and jump & roll on her bed. She laughed and took my picture. Funny thing is that the next morning I got another bath, but this time it was outside. We were almost halfway through our walk when all of a sudden it down poured on me and my Mommy. We were soaked! I kept stopping and looking back while we were walking, but my Mommy kept on saying "come on stinky let's keep going". I was just trying to tell her that I knew the rain was coming. I could hear it, but she didn't know. hehe. It was fun though!

So I have finally figured out what midterms are! It means no classes for my Mommy this week so she will be with me everyyyyydaaaaaaay! BUT she does also have to study. Sad. She's teaching me about my kidneys and something about embryos, but I don't know. I'll just help her keep her coffee pot running. :OP

Oh, my Mommy is the best! She made me doggy biscotti cookies and LOVEEE them! Isn't she the coolest??

Well that is all for now. Nothing too new, 'cept a whole lot of scary rain (we have a tin roof and it amplifies everything by like a thousand and one). I just hide under my Mommy's bed.

Just Another Day On An Island

:O) What's up peeps & pups? Not much to report here, although my sister Lexy wishes there were. :OP My Mommy has been studying again. She said something about midterms, but I don't know what that means. Guess I will find out sooner or later. (The top picture on the right is of me!! My Mommy bought some fat free vanilla yogurt and frozen raspberries - then she mixed them together and frozen. Then I got a COOL frozen treat! I love my Mommy, she's the best!!)





We've still been going for our long walks everyday....unless it rains - like tonight. Hmph. A few days ago we went for a walk and I found this big stick. I liked it so much that my Mommy let me carry it the whole way back home. It was fun! People smiled and waved and pointed at me. Guess that means I am cute? hehe. Of course I am! I also get to chase these big white birds in the field. It's fun,b tu I don't think my Mommy likes chasing them with me. Oh well. I thought that's what "bird dogs" were for, no? Guess I probably should read the golden retriever hand book.





Oh, my Mommy said she is going to take me to see some waterfalls after her midterms are over. I am not too sure what that means either, but I know what water means. FUN!





I am also going to be leaving my Mommy in November. :O( I don't think I like that idea, but she keeps telling me it is for my own good. She said something about the airlines being stupid. It's never a good thing when she says that. She said she refuses to fly me in cargo or stick me in a crate. I don't want that either. So back home to NJ I will go and stay. Its fun here in Grenada with my Mommy. I will miss her, but for now I have to enjoy being with her and I AM! :O) I know that my Mommy will be able to find another furry friend - she always does. BUT they will not be as good of a protector as I am! :OP





O0OoOo look at that toad or frog or something! He HUUUUUGE! My Mommy wouldn't let me touch him either. We were on our way down the stairs and my Mommy stopped short and was like "holy cow" and she tugged me back up the stairs and got her camera. Crazyness! But he is cool though. I haven't seen him since - we prob scared him away. I try and catch little ones every night, but I am unsuccessful. hmmm....oh well.





Oh and the last picture is of my Mommy - well my Mommy and some other vet students. She had to volunteer for two hours today. She had to give exams and vaccines to the local island dogs. I basically heard something about rabies and said "ok mommy you can go and i will stay here". I don't want to get rabies!! I am proud of my Mommy too. She told me that there were a bunch of free puppies and she said no. YAY! My Mommy loves me and only me!! :OP

Well like I said not much new to report. My fish, Will, is good. We keep each other company while my Mommy go to campus for classes or review groups. He's cool.

I'm Baaaacck!

Hi! Sorry it's been a while since I last blogged. My Mommy has been extra busy studying. I think she said she was studying physiology, but I don't know what that is exactly. Her roommate was studying too, but she actually studied on me. She kept on testing my reflexes for Neurology. I passed! Phew. :OP

So anyway, my Mommy is done studying so I can blog! (She passed her exam too...YAY!)

I still haven't caught a lizard yet, but I did see a dead iggy in the road the other day. I thought it was cool, but my mommy thought it was sad since she used to have an iggy. I never got to meet her iggy though. hmph

Oh...my picture is of me with my new baby. My Mommy had to go to a SAAVMA meeting at night and she felt bad for leaving me behind. When she got home she told me she had a present for me that she won and she gave me this cool stuffed dog!! I of course had to immediately take the eyeballs out. My Mommy hates when I do that, but I don't know how to tell her that toys with eyeballs creep me out. Oh well. So isn't the toy cool?! Don't I have nice white teeth? No braces needed for this pup!

The other picture is of me in my garden. I'm looking out for lizards! Notice the wind blowing my tufts of hair behind my ears. Makes me look like a model, huh? Look out LLBean, here I come!

AND this picture is of my fish! My Mommy cannot be without an animal especially a fish. He's cool. His name is Will. I make sure to keep an eye out on him while my Mommy is at school. You never know what a fish might do!

Well, I am pooped. We just came back from our walk down to the beach. My Mommy is happy too because now I can wear my bling-bling again! So now it's time to cool off and watch a movie. I love watching movies with my Mommy. Sometimes we eat cookies in bed too! mmmmmm.

My Blankie

Morning! That's me and my blue Blankie. My mommy has gotten all of us pups small blankies when we were pups. Maddie's sits up on a shelf, Lexy got my mommy's blankie, and Luke - well, his blankie was probably thrown out because he likes to turn them into swiss cheese (weird). But mine is here with me.

I love my blue Blankie! I sleep with it. I toss it up in the air and swirl it around and around. I play tug with it. It does everything! It can even make cool caves. :O)

Well, that is all for now. We had a good weekend here. I helped my mommy study and build a desk. We walked down to the beach too. We haven't gone for our morning walk yet because there are these BIG FLUFFY black clouds and we don't want to get caught in a rain storm. So we are waiting to go, which fine with me.
